Privacy Policy

1st Finance App (“the app”) is a personal budgeting tool. This policy
explains, in plain language, what the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
We collect as little as possible and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your email address — only if you choose to create an account for
cloud sync. It identifies your account and lets you sign in on more than one device.
- Your budget data — the income, expense, savings, and debt figures
you type in, plus your saved pay-period history. This is the content of the app.
- A waitlist email — only if you tap I’d want Plus to
register interest in a future paid tier. It is optional, it is used for one thing only —
telling you when Plus ships — and it is erased when you delete your account.
That’s it. The app has no ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels,
and does not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers for advertising.
Where your data lives
- On your device. The app works fully offline; your budget is stored
locally in your browser/app storage whether or not you ever create an account.
- In the cloud, only if you sign in. If you create an account, your
budget is also saved to our database provider,
Supabase, so it
can sync across your devices. Each account’s data is isolated by row-level security —
only your signed-in account can read or write your rows.
- The website itself is hosted on
Vercel.
- Fonts come from Google. The app’s typefaces are loaded from
Google Fonts,
so your browser requests the font files from Google and your IP address is visible to
Google in that request. The app sends no cookies or identifiers along with it.
Our marketing site at 1stfinanceapp.com
is a separate site with its own cookieless analytics and its own launch-alert email list;
both are described in its footer.
How we use it
Your email is used to authenticate you and to send account emails (such as a password
reset link when you request one). Your budget data is used only to provide the app’s
features to you. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to anyone.
Your choices & rights
- Export your data at any time from Settings → Backup →
Export JSON.
- Delete your account at any time from Settings → Cloud sync
→ Delete my account permanently. This erases your account and your cloud data,
and clears the copy on your device. It cannot be undone.
- Use the app without an account — simply don’t sign in, and no
data ever leaves your device.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, where
appropriate, note it in the app.
