1st Finance App (“the app”) is a personal budgeting tool operated by
1stFinanceApp LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy
explains, in plain language, what the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
We collect as little as possible and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your email address — only if you choose to create an account for
cloud sync. It identifies your account and lets you sign in on more than one device.
- Your budget data — the income, expense, savings, and debt figures
you type in, plus your saved pay-period history. This is the content of the app.
- A waitlist email — only if you are signed in and tap I’d want
Plus to register interest in a future paid tier. It is your account’s email address
(the app never asks for a different one), it is optional, it is used for one thing only —
telling you when Plus ships — and it is erased when you delete your account. Earlier
versions of the app let people join this waitlist without an account; if you did, email us
and we’ll remove it.
That’s it. The app has no ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels,
and does not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers for advertising.
Where your data lives
- On your device. The app works fully offline; your budget is stored
locally in your browser/app storage whether or not you ever create an account.
- In the cloud, only if you sign in. If you create an account, your
budget is also saved to our database provider,
Supabase, so it
can sync across your devices. Each account’s data is isolated by row-level security —
only your signed-in account can read or write your rows.
- The website itself is hosted on
Vercel.
Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard request logs — such as your IP address, your
browser type and the page requested — to run and secure the service. These logs contain
no budget data.
- Fonts are served by us. The app’s typefaces are stored on and
served from the app’s own website, so loading them doesn’t contact Google or any
other third party.
Our marketing site at 1stfinanceapp.com
is a separate site with its own cookieless analytics and its own launch-alert email list;
both are described in its footer.
How we use it
Your email is used to authenticate you and to send account emails (such as a password
reset link when you request one). Your budget data is used only to provide the app’s
features to you. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
- Your account, cloud budget and waitlist email are kept until you
delete your account.
- Backups. Our database provider makes automatic daily backups and keeps
each one for 7 days. After you delete your account, your data can remain in those backups
for up to 7 days, until they are replaced.
- Logs. Supabase keeps service logs — which can include your email
address and IP address, for example when you sign in — for up to 7 days. Vercel keeps
its request logs (described above) under its own retention schedule. Logs are used only to
run, secure and troubleshoot the service.
Your choices & rights
- Export your data at any time from Settings → Backup →
Export JSON.
- Delete your account at any time from Settings → Cloud sync
→ Delete my account permanently. This erases your account, your cloud data and
your Plus waitlist email, and clears everything the app keeps on the device you delete it
from. It cannot be undone. Copies already on your other devices can’t be reached from
here — to remove one, clear the app’s site data in that device’s browser
settings, or uninstall the app there. Deleted data can remain in backups and logs for a
short time, as described under How long we keep it.
- Use the app without an account — simply don’t sign in, and your
budget data never leaves your device.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, where
appropriate, note it in the app.
